Transfermarkt’s English Premier League market value update was released on Thursday with 128 players receiving new valuations. The Premier League remains the most valuable league in the world with its total value increasing by €240 million to €11.09 billion.

All new Premier League market values at a glance

Since the last full update in December, several stars have been in sensational form while a number of gifted youngsters have emerged as first-team players. Erling Haaland remains the most valuable player in England at €180 m - and joint most-valuable in the world with Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham - with his market value remaining the same in this intermediary update. Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden received big updates to become the joint-fifth most valuable players in the world, but who are the biggest winners and losers from the Premier League update.

Biggest Premier League market value increases in March update

The biggest winner of the update is Kobbie Mainoo. The Manchester United starlet has flourished this season and his market value has increased by an incredible €29m to €35m. Mainoo is widely regarded as a generational talent and he’s now the fourth most valuable teenage midfielder in the world.

Manchester City star Foden enjoyed the second biggest market value upgrade of €15m to €130m. The English international is now the joint-second most valuable player in the league, alongside Arsenal’s Saka. Foden and Saka are also the joint-second most valuable English players behind Bellingham and they will be vital players for Gareth Southgate at Euro 2024. Ivan Toney had the third biggest increase of €15m after the Brentford striker returned from his eight-month suspension. Conor Bradley and Pedro Neto received the joint-fourth largest upgrade of €13m. Bradley has excelled at Liverpool, registering three assists in six league appearances after deputising for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Portuguese international Neto has registered 11 assists in all competitions with Wolves reportedly demanding €100 to sell him this summer. Nine players received a €10m upgrade in the update including Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Man City’s Oscar Bobb and Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho

Biggest Premier League market value downgrades in March update

Eight Chelsea players received downgrades in this update as they continued to fail to fulfil their potential under Mauricio Pochettino. Unsurprisingly, two Chelsea players - Moisés Caicedo and Roméo Lavia received the joint biggest downgrades of €10m, alongside Miguel Almiron and Marucs Rashford

As illustrated in the graphic above , Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Man City’s Mateo Kovačić both had downgrades of €8m after struggling for minutes at their respective clubs. Antony has failed to register a single goal contribution in the league for Manchester United this season and his value has dropped by €7m to €28m - the Brazilian international had a market value of €75m when he joined United from Ajax. Antony’s teammate at Old Trafford, Sofyan Amrabat’s value has also dropped by €6m. 21 players saw their market value downgraded by €5m including Brighton’s Evan Ferguson and Chelsea’s Levi Colwill.
